On 28 July 2025, Ministry of Foreign Affair and International Cooperation issued a joint press release on the special meeting hosted by Malaysia to address the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand.

PM Hun Manet and Acting PM Phumtham Wechayachai have expressed their positions and willingness for immediate ceasefire and return to normalcy.
